In commercial disputes, BKP always strives to achieve an optimal out-of-court solution for its clients whenever reasonable and possible in a particular case.

However, if necessary, BKP's clients can rely on an experienced team specialising in judicial disputes. BKP accompanies its clients through all instances before Austrian as well as international courts including the courts of the European Communities or the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

• Conducted court proceedings in an international context and in complex major cases.
• Participated in the development of the "Austrian-type class action" and in that context advised the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, among others.
• Represented a major mobile phone manufacturer in numerous enforcement cases in Austria.
• Represented a major Austrian steel trading company in a civil case with an amount in dispute of several million Euros.
• Represented a leading pharmaceutical company in a number of linked legal disputes with more than EUR 30 million at dispute.
  

• Represented a leading German steel trading company in a case against an Austrian power plant components constructor before the International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna.
• Several of BKP´s lawyers act as arbitrators before the Arbitral Tribunal of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and in ICC arbitral proceedings, among others.
• Represented a consumer protection organisation in various precedents (Act against Unfair Competition, applicability of the Distant Marketing Act to so-called web auctions, general consumer protection, inappropriate investment advice, etc).
